The Club @ Bukit Utama is located in Petaling Jaya and is only a stone's throw away from Kota Damansara and Bandar Utama. Its easy accessibility allows for a quick spontaneous game of golf anytime whether it be walking or with a buggy. 

The Club is a 9-hole golf course that is very beginner-friendly and it is set in the natural beauty of unspoiled hills in the heart of Bandar Utama. Whenever you and your buddies are interested in leaving work a little early to get in 9 holes before dark, this is the right place to go!

2. Kinrara Golf Club

This beginner golf course is located in Puchong. A mere 20-minute drive from KL city center. It is a 5841 meter Par 71 18-hole public course. Beginners would have a great time playing here as they have decently wide fairways. Therefore it offers golfers a forgiving tee shot! 

Moreover, if you love Par 3s, the front 9 would be an absolutely fun experience. At holes 3, 4, and 5, you would get three par 3s in a row so there are 3 chances for you to get a hole in one consecutively! The prices at Kinrara are affordable as well which is a great place for beginners to start practicing too! This was also the place where I played my first 18-holes!

3. Bangi Golf Resort

Bangi Golf Resort is located about 22km south of KL City Centre at Bandar Baru Bangi. It is also midway between Kuala Lumpur International Airport and the KL City Centre. Moreover, Bangi Golf Resort is a 27-hole golf course with scenic fairways and a sculptured appearance. 

Golfers of all levels are welcome to play at Bangi. The Kajang, Putrajaya, and Bangi 9s are very friendly for beginners as they have really wide fairways and greens. Beginners would have an amazing golf experience here! Unfortunately, they do not host games on Deemples yet.

Monterez would be one of the more challenging golf courses on this list. Located at Shah Alam, Selangor right behind the Subang Airport. Monterez is a 5738 meters 18-hole golf course. 

The only problem here for beginners is that it will be a challenge due to the narrow fairways and deep roughs. It is pretty hard to find your ball if you place it outside the fairway. On the plus side, Monterez gives you value for money as the price is affordable for a great golf course. They host daily games on Deemples too!
