Monterez would be one of the more challenging golf courses on this list. Located at Shah Alam, Selangor right behind the Subang Airport. Monterez is a 5738 meters 18-hole golf course.

The only problem here for beginners is that it will be a challenge due to the narrow fairways and deep roughs. It is pretty hard to find your ball if you place it outside the fairway. Common FAQs about Golf Course for Beginners

Can a beginner play on a golf course?

By the way: Don't feel like you have to start in golf playing the best courses, or even any full-sized, 18-hole courses. Short courses (par-3 course, executive course) are great places for beginners to, well, begin.

How many golf lessons should a beginner take?

The general recommendation to keep in mind is 3-5 golf lessons to get a beginner started with the correct fundamentals. Many golf clubs or training centers offer beginner lesson packages, so you can buy a set number of classes and save a few dollars in the process.

How to book a tee time as a beginner?

You can go to the golf course website (incredibly, a small number of golf courses still don't take online tee times) or browse marketplace sites such as Deemples or  TeeOff. These websites let you filter by day and time and it will show you all courses within a given location you search in. Marketplace sites are a good way to quickly compare green fees and availability. When you book online, depending on the tee time, you will need to pay up front or at the course.
