Today’s round was at 1 PM on the Valley. It had been raining, and we were seriously worried the game might be washed out... but just like magic, the skies cleared right before tee-off. The pro shop even mentioned rainchecks were available — good to know, just in case Mother Nature changed her mind! That said, the rain left its mark — bunkers were heavy, wet, and unforgiving. The humidity was intense, draining every ounce of energy we had. But wow, the Valley Course was something else. Nearly every green was elevated like a fortress — 5 meters up in the air, daring us to even try reaching in two. Most of the time, it felt like the course was whispering, “Nice try… here’s a bogey.” And if the ball wasn’t splashing into a hazard, it was diving into a bunker like it was on vacation. Honestly, it felt like the course had been designed to challenge not just your swing, but your soul. Looking back, maybe I should’ve just embraced the idea of a three-on strategy from the start. This place may look like a pretty postcard — but don’t be fooled, it’s a beautiful beast. If I ever return, I’ll be smarter (and humbler).
