Although it is only about 900ft above sea level, a pleasant refreshing breeze blows through it as it is located in the wind corridor of Genting Pass. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, enjoy your game as a gentle breeze blows and eagles soar above you, swifts and swallows swoop low and jungle fowl wander through the undergrowth near you. Listen to the call of the siamang, spot a lapwing butterfly … where else… Selesa Golf Course! Playing on a hill golf course such as Selesa Golf Course with its tight and challenging layout is different from playing on a broad, flat lowland golf course. High handicappers will discover that when playing on a hill course such as Selesa Golf Course, all the things your Golf Pro told you are so true - club selection, stance and addressing the ball are more critical than on a flat lowland course. This is because the steep slopes, be they uphill or downhill, may alter the perception of distance. Together with the lie (uphill, downhill or even sideways) coupled with the height that the ball needs to be lofted uphill, or the added distance it will roll downhill make the game more challenging and enjoyable. For the low handicappers, there are plenty of opportunities for birdies, and eagles. There is even the very real possibility of a super double whammy – an albatross hole-in-one on hole number five!
