From the gate to the lake is 5km, with a mix of asphalt and gravel roads, still easy for any car. Entrance fee is RM5 per car. The place is wide, beautiful, and has many photo spots. There’s a small playground, camping area, and clean toilets, but not many shaded spots. Be careful with kids since swimming isn’t allowed and there are crocodile warning signs. My only suggestion is clearer road signs. The current ones are small and easy to miss, we even took a wrong turn. Bigger, clearer signboards would make the journey much easier for first-time visitors. In the future, it would be great if the management could add more attractions besides the lake view. Maybe a nice café, so visitors can relax and enjoy the scenery even more. These small additions would make the area more family-friendly and give people more activities to enjoy beyond just taking photos. Overall, this is already a beautiful place to visit, especially for those in Tawau who want somewhere new to bring the family.
