This new golf course in Wisconsin called The Lido is a great option in the area. The Keiser brothers were the designers who decided to build a clone of C.B Macdonald's course. The course is very aesthetically pleasing due to the pure sand dunes but with some interesting holes, thirteen of which opened in July. The other 7 however, will be opened by fall for all members and guests. All in all, this course is a great middle-ground if you're torn between spending the day at a beach or a golf course. Definitely worth a go.

This brand new course in New Zealand offers more than what meets the eye. First of all, although New Zealand isn't big on tourism, that is not indicative of what they've decided to do with their golf courses. The South Course At Te Arai Links is extremely grand and visually pleasing. This course was designed by Coore and Crenshaw and boy have they done a fantastic job.

Off the bat, the golf course showcases its sandy land along the water and bouncy fescue turf. Plus, you can almost feel a breeze and taste the salt spray as if you were on the beach instead. Thus, this course is definitely a must for golfers in New Zealand.

This year we were surprised by a newcomer in Bangkok. The sport of golf is currently growing by the day in Thailand. We now see more and more people opening their eyes and accepting the sport as it is. This means, more golf courses will be made, and here's one of them. Siam Country Club Bangkok aims to serve those who wish to start their golfing journey for the first time.

The course was designed by Toby Cobb and his work has tremendously paid off. First of all, the course has some classical features such as turtle-back greens, bunkers, and broad-shouldered fairways. But the main selling point is the par-3 18th hole with a large and disheveled putting surface guarded by a deep bunker. Definitely a memorable hole indeed.

4. Comporta Dunes - Comporta, Portugal

Thus, this is where Comporta Dunes comes into play. Although the course was long delayed due to the pandemic, it has finally opened this year. David McLay Kidd's design features long and wide fairways that stretch through sand dunes and pines.

When it comes to golf courses, Iraq isn't a country that usually comes to mind. Nevertheless, it is always great to hear when an unexpected country is dabbling in the sport of golf. After all, golf is for everyone despite race and nationality. The design of Erbil Hills Golf Club is superbly enticing, especially for the first-ever golf course in Iraq. Cynthia Dye McGarey, the daughter of Roy Dye has done a fantastic job in implementing the classic elements of a golf course onto this one with an added twist of Iraq's unique soil.
