Kudat Golf Club Course Details
Kudat Golf & Marina Resort or also known as Kudat Golf Club is the oldest golf course in Sabah that was once part of St. Andrews Scotland. The golf club was established way back in 1906 in a town on the tip of Borneo in Sabah. Almost a century later, they upgraded their golf course from 9 holes into an 18-hole par-72 layout in 2002 which in return lengthened the course to 6080 meters. The one thing that separates Kudat Golf Club from the others is the view. On sunny days, golfers are given the luxury to enjoy a spectacular view of Mount Kinabalu.
The early nine holes (holes 10-18) are a vintage design with matured and natural earth mounding. Now called the Second Nines, it is the most challenging half of the entire course as it is surrounded by buildings, roads and houses. Conversely, the new nines are surrounded by Marudu bay which gives it a gorgeous view of the sea and Bengkoka Peninsular. In addition to that, the new nines also provide some challenges with most holes featuring large bunkers and numerous water hazards.
