Introduction to Derek Cribb - NZ PGA member
Derek Cribb is a member of the New Zealand Professional Golf Association, teaching professionally since 2004, and currently based at the CIMB Niaga Golf Academy, located in the Jagorawi Golf & Country Club in Depok, about 1 hour south of Central Jakarta, Indonesia. Derek brings to CIMB Niaga Golf Academy an impressive history of golfing achievements having been a coach for the Ngaki Tamariki Trust, a foundation initiated by world Renowned Golfer's Michael Campbell and Philip Tatarangi. During this time Derek taught Junior Golfers throughout New Zealand in all aspects of the game, preparing New Zealand's future champions. Derek is also a very accomplished player having played the New Zealand Professional Golf Circuit with great results. He has also been employed as Head Professional at one of New Zealand's most prestigious Golf Courses "The Grange". The Grange was host to many New Zealand Golf Open Championship's. Derek was also Head Coach to the 26th Annual SEA-Games. We know getting into golf is intimidating. Most people don't know where to go, what to buy, what to bring, what to wear, how much it costs, how to get started, who to ask etc. We want to help make it as easy as possible to get introduced into golf. Derek is also very passionate about helping people who want to get into golf, or improve their golf, therefore has agreed to provide us with free golf clinics so that everyone can have a shot at picking up the club, and swinging for a bit.
If you want to join the free golf clinics, just log into the Deemples Golf app, and look out for Derek's free clinics. He has them set up for the rest of July until August 2018. They're all for 30 min, but you're more than welcome to stay longer and hit more. If you have no equipment, he can provide them to you free. Balls will also be for free for the duration of the clinic.
