Atleast 2 strokes loss if ball misses green or rolls of as greens all elevated and green speed too fast for normal golfers. In many cases the greenside bunkers were very deep so had to use lob wedge to recover. Still was fun. Expect to play 10 over normal handicap as cost of small errors too high. I think even pros will struggle with such tough greens. Layout was nice. Wonderful facilities. The name Rolling Hills comes from the extreme undulation of the greens, I think almost certainly. We were in shock on some greens from where our ball finally settled. ( Maybe the course managers could have been more understanding towards us club golfers as sometimes the frustration of getting into trouble after hitting wonderful clean and straight shots onto the green, still resulted in a double bogey! Caddy service: A huge thank you to caddie #32. She was truly excellent: impeccable green reading, great advice on club selection, and a perfect understanding of the lines of play. Invaluable help for scoring well here. Caddy #35: Also present on tour. The clubhouse is modern and offers a magnificent view of the course, ideal for debriefing after your round. Greens are smooth, some approaches are tricky, and you really need to think your way around. That said, it never felt unfair, just demanding in a good way (to remind you what level of a player you are 😅). Even with a few rough holes, it’s one of those rounds you keep thinking about afterwards.
