Set amidst natural surroundings on a gently sloping hillside, this course offers a true test of skill with its strategic layout. Mature palms line the fairways, while water, sand, trees, and Nicklaus’ signature waste bunkers present formidable challenges. Only skilled golfers are likely to play to their handicap on this course. The thick Bermuda grass near the bunkers demands careful navigation to avoid costly double bogeys. Five holes feature double fairways, offering multiple approaches to the greens, while five well-spaced sets of tees cater to players of all abilities. The par-5 holes are among the course's highlights. The 8th hole is a long stretch with bunkers along the left and center of the fairway and water hazards on the right from tee to green. The 12th hole, also long, features a wide creek that splits the fairway and offers a choice between two fairways, each with its own challenges.
