Located in Pathum Thani province, north of Bangkok, this scenic course is set within a large housing estate, offering a serene woodland environment enhanced by large trees, open marsh areas, and abundant wildlife. Flora Ville is a well-maintained course that caters to golfers of all skill levels. The fairways, often lined with stately trees or flanked by water hazards, frame most of the holes, making accurate tee shots essential. With several dogleg holes, precision is key for achieving good scores. The course’s biggest challenge lies in its greens. Small, firm, and fast, these greens demand a confident short game and excellent distance control for successful putts. Fortunately, the greens are relatively flat, so most putts are straightforward despite the speed. Among the standout holes is the 6th, a 173-yard par-3 that plays differently depending on the wind. Avoiding the water hazard in front and the deep bunkers on the right is crucial to avoiding a bogey or worse. The 12th hole, a short but tricky par-5, requires pinpoint accuracy to navigate the lake on the right and set up a good approach shot. The signature 18th hole is a long par-5 that demands two perfect shots to avoid the bunkers and water hazards, with a small landing area and a challenging approach to the green. A layup might be the safer option for those looking to save par. Reopened in 2018, Flora Ville’s clubhouse offers top-notch facilities, including an excellent Thai restaurant serving everything from snacks to royal cuisine. With its challenging layout and beautiful surroundings, Flora Ville Golf & Country Club is one of the best-value golf courses in Bangkok, providing an enjoyable day of golf for both locals and visitors.
