Bintulu Golf Course has 18 holes covering a total area of about 59.611 hectars or 147.301 acres with its fairway stretching for 6148 meters or 6726 yards in length. The constuction of the Golf Course was a joint effort by the Government, Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) and Malaysia Liquidified Natural Gas (MLNG) with Government contributing 5 millions ringgit, BDA 5 millions ringgit and MLNG 1 million ringgit. Bintulu Golf Club was officially open on 5 July 1996 by YB Tan Sri Datuk Amar Wong Soon Kai, was then the “Timbalan Ketua Menteri dan Menteri Pembangunan Infrastruktur dan Menteri Pelancongan Sarawak”.
