We had a great Deemples Golf Gathering today at
Danau Golf Club - Sunday 8 July 2018.
Everyone was super punctual for Deemples Golf Gathering
The golf staff were already all ready to register us for the game bright and early.
Tee time was 12:30pm, but we're very proud to say that the golfers take punctuality high in regard, since it's just good etiquette. Also because most of them don't know each other so it's just courtesy not to be late! (not saying that you should be if they are your friends :)
WAGC delay
However, there was a tournament in the morning by the
World Amateur Golf Championship (WAGC) sponsored by
Perodua, which if you ask us, isn't really a world amateur golf championship just because it's ONLY open to those that are members of a club. In a sport where over 70% of the players are not club members, how is it really representative of a world championship?
We kinda like our golf meets to be all inclusive than restrictive, hence the Deemples Golf Gatherings, where everyone can participate, member or not, whichever gender, whichever skill level.
So the WAGC ran late, and therefore we were about 1 hour delayed off our tee time. So, more practice time for us golfers!
Deemples Golf Gathering finally teed off
But we did finally tee off at 1-2pm. 25 of us teed off from the 10th. So when we were done, some of them have already left. (Sorry guys).
But weather was amazing, course was in good conditions, and the greens and pin positions, were amazingly difficult!!

Some of them even waited for us to finish off! (more like they wanted to see us fail on the challenging greens)
Prize Presentation!
But once we were done, we quickly got to scoring, and then presented the prizes to the 2 categories of winners that we had for the day:
- low gross
- high gross
We had 4 prizes for each category courtesy of Danau Golf Club and
TGV INDULGE. Maximum score per hole for the day was 7. So that we didn't have crazy 150 scores :)
