The European Tour and Official Partners Callaway once again joined forces to bring the third season of instructional videos called “Tour Tips”. In episode one of Callaway Tour Tips, Min Woo Lee and Thomas Detry give us a tutorial on How to generate speed and distance off the Tee. They also shared their driver setups and what specs they are playing within the Tour.
As always, the session finished with another Tour Tips Challenge. The challenge was simple; they had to hit the fairway with the longest drive, both of them have five chances. The longest drive will win.

How to get more distance Off the Tee?
Min Woo Lee and Thomas Detry have discussed some valuable tips during this session, especially for new golfers, on how to improve on speed and distance off the Tee.
According to Thomas Detry when new players try to hit it hard, you can see everything moving but they’re not hitting it out of the middle. This is the real main big thing, if you can hit it out of the middle of the clubface because club heads are designed for this to be hit from the middle, then you will be able to maximize the speed.
If someone is trying to hit the ball further, try to slow down their body, that doesn’t mean to slow down the club speed. According to him, it’s good to find a good balance between speed and hitting out the middle, which is the hardest.
Min Woo Lee has some good tips for hitting it hard and generating tons of speed. According to him working out in Gym has helped him a lot in getting speed and that explosive power. He also shared his little secrets with new players that, he lift up his left leg while hitting, and then really try to dig it into the ground. This technique helps him in improving speed and distance off the tee.
