Maybe the group behind us paid more than us?? No idea. The course is a bit dated, the cart paths are very rough, but the course itself is well kept and plays well. We come to Vietnam every couple of yrs to play golf and I’m not sure this one will stay on our list. Nice course but apparently it’s quite common to be shuffled around and ask to hurry. Overall, the course is well-managed. The greens are of average speed, but the difficulty lies in their unpredictable undulations, making putting lines difficult to judge. The first tee-off today was before dawn, and the course lights were on. I played the front nine alone, but the back nine got busier, and I was grouped with a Japanese couple. This Japanese couple was very polite, but their golfing skills were lacking. The club provides free lunch, which is quite good, but I didn't have an appetite today. I saw a group of middle-aged Chinese golfers come to eat. The caddie service was good; a middle-aged, slightly chubby guy, always laughing and joking. I scored 85 strokes with one birdie.
